UEFA Champions League/Europa League 11/12/13 March *** Spoilers ***

lol, right infront of the extra ref Verm holds Lahm off by grabbing his shirt at arms length and holding him there... extra ref does nothing thankfully.

Seriously, is Guardiola doing a Moyes, telling his players, everything, absolutely everything has to be a low pass and you have to get within a yard of the goal line before you pass it in.

All game long, choosing to drive outside to the goal line getting stupid close before trying to pass it across. Very odd they've focused so heavily on that when it hasn't worked at all, all game long.

Bayern have been woeful in the final third, they had 72% possession in the first half and were in SO many positions to score, Alaba was particularly poor in delivery, he had that crap cross fall to him in the box and he could frankly have blasted it at the goal and probably scored but put in another poor ball. As above, this weird "must go outside and pass low across the box" for no reason. With the possession and positions they've gotten into, better play in the final third and they could have been miles up at half time.

Personally don't think Thiago works great in this team and they always look better with Muller in there.

I think Wenger actually had "tactics" in this game, we were much much more aggressive in the second half, we're getting forward more, pushing more, but I think for all of that we've created no extra chances and eventually Bayern will find the space and finish us off.

Lots of fouls and pushes and breaking up Arsenal attacks early with little fouls. Robben dived horrendously in the box and got away without a yellow. There have been a number of fouls on Chamberlain when he is looking dangerous.

The ref also didn't award a blatant foul in the build-up to Arsenal's goal nor did he give Arteta a 2nd booking for the foul on Ribery(?). I don't think Arsenal can complain too much about the ref.
