It is upgrade time for me and having been on orange for over 3 years, I have been told that there are no loyalty discounts available anymore on EE because of the network investments the group is making.

Is this total salesman nonsense or an actual policy?

I have my PAC number and will be heading to three unless I am offered some sort of competitive package.

they offered me a a deal 2 days ago

i was on T-mobile 3G, £12 a month, 600 mins, unl texts and 500mb data sim only

they offered me EE 4G, unl calls, unl texts and 1.5gb data for £13 sim only 12 months contract

i first accepted then i called back and cancelled, the sim arrived today though lol

ordered the one plan on 3 for £20 a month instead

A couple weeks ago I upgraded my old T-Mobile contract to EE 4G, I got unlimited texts, calls and 5GB of data on 12mth contract for £18 a month. The price of the plan on EE website is normally £31. I got put through to retentions though.

I got told a similar thing as the OP when I initially looked to upgrade with Orange. Once I requested my PAC I received a call from Orange with a much better offer which, unfortunately for them, still wasn't as good as Three's one plan.

i told retentions i was going for the one plan and if they could match it then i would stay

the chap put me on hold and went to 3 site and checked my post code for 4g coverage, he came back and argued that my area wasn't listed in the list for 2014, but it was, i live in a town in Manchester but he wouldn't accept this and was quite rude, asked or my pac and finally they gave me it, talk about trying to get me to stay was a tough battle but i got there in the end

no other provider can match 3s One Plan yet especially with free 4G

Yea it's great and anybody interested in it should move soon. As of Tuesday any new customers will have their tethering capped at 2GB.

I got offered nothing from them 5+ years and 3 accounts with them.

Ended up with carphone warehouse at £15 cheaper a month!!

My mam phoned up on Sim only due to her wanting to disable her answer phone as she gets charged to call it.

They offered her 1GB of extra data a month and answer phone for free.

Doesn't surprise me. I was with T-Mobile for around 5 years and last time it was upgrade time 2 years ago they offered no deals. So asked for pac code and with much grumbling it was eventually supplied. Support fella then said after issuing pac code it was a shame as I'd built up quite a bit of loyalty discount  Previous to that conversation there was nothing available for me! I moved to Three.
