GTX690 - Still worth getting now if price is right?

What are you using now? And is it better, same, worse? Do you feel the change was worth it?
I sold the rig completely so I have nothing to compare it to I'm afraid!!

Unless you want to know how my rMBP runs Skyrim... :D

e: although if you can get it for sub £350 then it's still a monster of a card. I did however never stack up mods on skyrim and I never hit the vram limit. It was mainly for my e-peen if I'm honest ;)

If I had to pick a single card between a GTX 690, Titan or 290X I would go for the GTX 690 every time at resolutions up to 1600p. I still have systems with all three.

The funny part about it is the system with the two GTX 690s even though they are air cooled is quieter than the fully water cooler 290X and Titan systems.:D

Guys,

If a particular game doesn't work well with SLI can you disable one of the 690s GPUs temporarily?

Thanks :)

Yup just put a tick in the disable sli box

Ha ha, glad it should run quietly then :)

As far as SLI goes if a game only supports one GPU you don't really have to do anything in NCP, even if you have SLI selected it will just run on one core without any problems.

When you install drivers it is a good idea to check in NCP afterwards as this often disables SLI, but you only have to tick the box and your done.
