hey guys, so everything came today and im very happy, other than the graphics block not fitting the graphics card but thats being taken care of so its ok!

My issue at the moment is that I dont know where, or infact how I should mount my pump/res. its the EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 4.0 X-RES, not sure where in the case to put it, here is a picture of the build so far, any tips on where and how to mount it would be greatly appreciated :)

just looking at your pic, i think you should flip the psu over so the fans at the top! i have same psu and ive never seen the fan spin! and its the only way your going to get rid of the heat that builds up inside it.

Don't be silly, the fan will draw in air through the vent in the bottom of the case and exhaust it through the grill at the back of the psu :)
The fans on the RM series only start spinning when it reaches a certain temp.

OP, I'd just stick the res/pump on the floor next to the HDD cage or on top of it.

I'm sorry if it offends you, but claiming that flipping his psu is the only way to get rid of heat build up is a bit silly, yes.

FYI, I have an RM850 myself and it's happily running the rig in my sig without needing to be flipped :)

FYI, I have RM750 and it will only spin the fan when your using 40% load, so if OP is just gaming it will probably be fine upside down, but if OP is using his pc for YouTube, surfing the net or torrents (or anything else which doesn't create 40% load) for long periods of time then the fan wont spin! And heat builds up, all depends on what the OP is doing with his pc really

I ended up putting it on top of the drive bays, it looks pretty nice, took it out and put teh awful stock intel cooler on for now because the computer wasnt actually work! (nothing to do with the watercooling)

im gonna wait until i can get a fan controller to put it back on as i currently dont have anyway to power the 3 fans on the radiator!

Even if it isn't at 40% load or more for long periods, there's still no problem with it getting a little warm. Perhaps flipping it would allow a little more heat to escape directly upwards, but I still doubt that any light heat buildup is anything close to something to be concerned about.
Fwiw, my PC spends the vast majority of it's time at the desktop/browsing/youtube etc and there are no problems with the psu getting too hot.
