Puush lol, printscreening and uploading the pic it looks fine.

Sugarhell wrong thats what power limit is for as with working +50 card does pass 15 minute test with no drops from 1170 at all. Anf if card dies ill get another one not like i killed one 7950 2 hours after i got it delivered :D
You cant make an omlet without braking a few eggs and so :D
Image i play games and benchmarks to. Just last week i finished southpark and played 20 hours of titanfall.
This is how it looks on my daily settings atm i am in middle of installing windows 8.1 update 1 with full formats ect so not finished setting stuff up yet. And later on i am off for Trancecoda 3D rave in Birmingham so wont have much time to mess around this weekend:

Summer time in UK +10c outside and on card hehe. Maybe its time for 1080 phobya radiator :]

Rangerjr1 cant see that card running constant 1310hmz on core there only i can see what settings you got..

My scores are equal or better than my other scores using other drivers, if powerlimit and throttling was a real issue with these drivers you really think id be able to beat my old scores with same clocks?

Why are you still here? You only want to argue and you're being annoying.

No lol. They have built in protection for burn in apps. If you let the card a lot of time using furmark the powerplay kicks in and you get clocks close to the base clocks. Both nvidia and amd throttle furmark for years

Moving on to FurMark, despite the fact that we should be TDP limited the 290 actually draws more power than the 290X. To be frank we’re at a bit of a loss on this one; 290 bottoms out at 662MHz here, so it may be that we’re seeing one of the things the card can do to try to maintain its base clockspeed. Alternatively this may be the voltage effect amplified. Regardless of the reason though it’s a very repeatable scenario, and it’s a scenario that has 290 drawing 34W more at the wall than 290X.

well i asked for 1 minute worth of time screenshot. Same as mine using 14.1 dfrivers with card not throtling down. So far i provided 2 screenshots that show card throtling on 14.1 driver and not throtling on 13.12 driver both on fresh installs.

shankly1985 my first screenshot shows it enabled and shows its not working and ??

1. Sugarhell has explained why your card is throttling in Furmark.
2. Me and a couple of others say there's no issues with powerlimit.
3. Ive posted scores that are done with these drivers, they're better than other drivers. If powerlimit wouldnt work i surely wouldnt be able to run these clocks and score higher???
4. I dont need to prove anything to you (And im not going to) you dont need to read my guide or believe me, i never asked you to and i never expected you to. Make your own guide. You're being annoying.

hi, im going to have play with this trixxx! ive not overclocked a video card in a very very long time! which tabs have you enabled on the setting tab and is it really ok to just feed the vddc offset 200? im not going to rape the card just abit of light clocking and see what happens lol :D im going to need this for 24/7. thx

I just posted you screenshot of card not throttling while using 13.12 drivers

So far two of you are trying to convince me that card is throttling doe to some mechanics.
If that is so it must be something new in 14.1 and 14.2 drivers

Do You want me to record you a 15 minute long video of card running whole burn in test without throttling or what ??

You dont really have to change anything in the settings. And yea 200mV is fine for short benchmarks, just make sure the fan is running 100% and that you open the sidepanel so it gets some fresh air :D

But I care about misinformation.

OK, so AMD are dropping the ball dramatically lately with these utter ***** drivers.

Powertune has zero effect and instead of maintaining 1150 core clock with +50mV my R9 290X throttles to ~940MHz. When I go back to 13.12 powertune works perfectly again and 1150 core at all times.

The card actually runs faster at stock settings.

I think it's time to cut my losses on AMD and become a 100% Nvidia convert. Kinda getting sick of the poor excuses and amateurish execution at almost every turn.

no worries there! ek full cover waterblock ;) if 200mv is only good for short benches will it be ok for games? bf4? im a nOOb :D
