Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 19th March 2014]

When you put it like that then I do agree with you. I do think Pardew deserved the length of the ban but Hart should still be getting a ban if he has headbutted someone, ok maybe not 7 games but a 3 game would be enough.

Was just how you went how we dont know the difference, my point was a headbutt is still a headbutt
Yeah sorry, worded my post too aggressively without really getting my point across.

What I wanted to say was the mass hysteria was caused solely because it was the manager who headbutted the player which was so unexpected. A player headbutts another player and you generally get a meh, a manager headbutts someone and it's a genuine WTF just happened moment :D

I'm in no way suggesting Hart shouldn't be banned although I do believe bans should be increased if an individual keeps getting done for violent conduct. That's going completely off topic though.

Someone needs to teach Dummet how to cross. High, deep, floated balls into the box help no one but the goalkeeper.

Adam Armstrong coming on for his debut.

Southampton 3-2, conceded 2 goals in a couple mins, suddenly under pressure. Both horrendous passes to set up both goals from Southampton players. Doing there best to throw it away at the moment.

Newcastle shouldn't be relying on a penalty to get a point but that should have been a penalty, ref utterly bottled it.

Southampton after handing two goals on a platter to Norwich have resorted to fouling their own players in an attempt to finish off the game for themselves..... interesting.

Everton make it two with another Coleman blast(not his best though), 2-1 with a minute of extra time left.

EDIT:- attempted blast but actually flukey as hell fluffed it and accidentally chipped it into the corner?

and a 4th for Southampton.

So we lost to a team that can't buy a win and can't keep a clean sheet. Surprise surprise. We look so much less fluid without Remy's pace and movement to keep the opposition defenders on their toes :(

Blast?

He sliced it badly and it went in in slow motion :D

Crappy stream, from replay his attempted blast was towards the left side of goal, hence a couple defenders and the keeper going that way but as you say, ended up a bit of a slice/chip into the other corner for him. Huge result though for them, Southampton getting more points on the board and Stoke with another win.

Huge win for brentford earlier and backed up with Wolves only getting a draw at home. 1 point off the top, 2 ahead of orient with 2 games in hand, a 24 point gap to 7th, might seal at least a play off place in the next few games.

Players headbutt other players, managers don't usually headbutt anyone. Not sure why Newcastle supporters don't understand the difference between the two.

Pardew deserved a ban but a head butt is a head butt.

Don't particularly care anyway as the season is over just being a worky ticket :p
