Titanfall (XB1/360)

Because EA (and therefore Respawn) would have made more money than MS gave them by selling a lot of copies of Titanfall to PS4 owners as well as XB1 and PC owners. A clever deal for MS to have made though.

Im sure ms and Sony make it worth companies while (eg extra funding, loads of promotion, console bundles etc)

Anyone playing tonight? Add my gt.

Struggling to connect atm! =(

Its £44 before discount. With discount that makes it just under £42 which comes to a£47 when you add £5 onto your account balance to bring it up to £5

Thats still £10 more than the US store price. Robbing Bar Stewards

Fair point, I did notice though Amazon are currently doing a £50 gift card for £44.86 and when you buy £50, they send you another £5 credit for free.

I live in Scotland and as you probably know we like saving money. Took me all of two mins to add a made up USA address. Well worth it to save £18, Think how many boxes of fruitloops that will buy me.;)

I suppose you lie on your insurance too to "save a few bob".

The entire point is that breaking the rules and doing something that is annoying to have to add a PayPal account, change the locale etc isn't something to feel clever about.

The point of the original story (if you believe it) is that EA now believe that they would have made a lot more money selling the game multiplatform than they got by going exclusive with MS.

So by your logic Sucker Punch have made a huge mistake by not having made Infamous:Second Son for Xbox One, 360 and PC.

/Sigh This is potentially true of any exclusive and a pretty pointless argument. As said earlier, it just sounds like sour grapes.

Sucker Punch is owned by Sony though, so it's not really a fair comparison.

EA messed up on this one. They simply underestimated the PS4 sales when they signed the agreement with MS. It really is a fantastic game and EA will loose millions of sales for this. I fully expect Titanfall 2 to be multiplat.

LOL why do you care?

Perhaps because this kind of attitude is making the world a nasty place to live in. Where does it stop exactly?

And besides, I don't need some internet smart arse trying to act smug that he's saved £15-20 by doing something that's patently obvious shouldn't be done.

Ouch the DF analysis of this doesnt pull any punches, surprising considering the author:

A fun game poorly made seems to summarise it well, considering all the concessions made to maintain 60fps. More indicative of a rushed game or a poor developer than the hardware it runs when you compare it to PC performance/graphics...

Really surprised considering how important this was to MS. I dont understand why it wasnt delayed to get the frame rate in check at least, nor why 720p is such a stigma when the final solution is a worse compromise...

Totally baffled how it's pulled such strong reviews when it's supposedly plagued by horrendous screen tearing and frame rate drops

Because its fun, that's how I see it anyhow. I cant say I've had horrendous problems playing it thus far, nothing that's dragged me out of enjoying the game.

Really? sounds like you are just bitter you paid £55 for it :)

Loads on here grabbed it for £37 on the US store, and considering you could easily pick up the game for the same price then it's not really a saving.

Sony own Sucker Punch. Sony don't go around paying others to not release on a competitor anymore they make their own games with their own studios.

Maybe you should call the internet police.

XB1 performance is borderline atrocious, single digit fps in places. Feels like this game wasn't ready and it got EA'd. (Low resolution, poor FPS on Console, Stuttering, no multi GPU support, latency issues on PC.) Respawns reputation took a hit on this game IMO. Its the damn Source Engine I have a 4 year old mid range laptop that could run it at 720p all day.

Sony buy studio's which is the same as buying an exclusive, not hard to understand.
