I'm sure a lot of us saw the adverts on FB and other social media about the supposed app that was £20 but currently free. It was on the itunes store and I downloaded it out of curiosity as did just about everyone I know. At work people sit streaming films through it.

Clearly it was dodgy as soon as I saw the list of stuff on there and it's getting bigger. They have practically the whole disney back catalogue on there, films like mavity, frozen are already on there and now I notice the 6 star wars films are on there, Clone Wars series too.

Surely Disney at least will go after Apple for this?

It'll get removed again. Disney sue Apple? Not a chance.

But surely they have a cast iron case? Apple have put an app on the store that allows them to watch everything they put out.

I just took a look and even wolf of wall street is on there. At the rate stuff is going on there I don't think it will be long before TV series are on there too!

I can't believe it slipped through.

It's called Cartoon HD.

My niece loves it, i thought it had been removed from the app store.

It has been but I don't know anyone with an apple device that doesn't have it.

Do you really think that when the app was submitted for approval that this was the suggested use? Of course not. Apple will have approved something that allows streaming of, I don't know, public domain or certain licensed content, and then after approval this is where it ends up. This is what apple will say. They will issue a boilerplate apology without admitting any liability, remove the app, and everyone will get on with their lives.

That's why I asked I didn't know, from people I know that got this early in November lots of this stuff was already on there. I don't know how old the app is. I found the Facebook page other that that little info about the company.
