Would the EVGA Hadron Hydro Mini-ITX 500 watt PSU power a 780Ti ok?

I'm thinking of upgrading to Haswell soon finally, Anyways...I really like the EVGA Hadron the newest model for water cooling so looking for the fastest card. 780Ti seems to fit this, but would the 500 watt gold rated PSU that EVGA give you enough to power the 780Ti even when OC'ed?

Really? you can find others on youtube that run a 780ti. Don't know if it was OC'ed though?

Going from my Titan, when it is overclocked, it can draw well over 800w but on saying that, it was monitoring 3 screens/speakers/3930K/pump/fans...

Maybe better if others answer, in case I am wrong :)

Well I would say that the 3 screens and speakers could account for up to half of that power draw!

I think it would run with a 500W power supply but you would be right on the limit, meaning the PSU is running at near 100% max load capacity when gaming, meaning it will run hotter and probably shorten it's lifespan. Then if you overclock everything you could go over 500W, and it will either be nice to you and power off the PC - or will go bang!

I run 1x 290 on an 850W gold PSU - yes it could run 2 cards but i'd much rather run it at 50% load over 90 - 100%. The fan never even spins up in my PSU as it doesn't ever get hot enough!

That's what I'm thinking???? I have a 780 now, so maybe a 780Ghz would be best? Don't know yet? I do really like that case, but don't want my psu to run near 100%? I might have to think about what I'm going to do here before I buy all my parts. ..Hmmmm Thanks for the input :)

The 780Ti is voltage locked to 1.212V so really you can use it all you want at 500W with your 3770k and a decent 12w pump.

Hi,

I just set up a show rig, Hadron Hydro, Watercooling kit, 4770K @4,6, 2133MHz HyperX+SSD and a Titan Black @ 1300, so far everything is running fine :D

Hello dom. The PSU isn't super loud is it? This case is great, but wanted 780Ti. So the Titan would draw more power then the 780Ti? Also I wonder if EVGA will put a 650 watt PSU on sale for replacement for higher end gpu's

That PSU is kinda loud, I have heard it personally. It is a 1u server PSU with a tiny fan on it so it does what it can to keep cool.
