Alright guys,

//begin rant

So at the end of January, the heavens opened and my little house welcomed in a foot of water...

And then to top it all off, the loss adjuster has written off my (budget) gaming rig :(

So... I am thinking of leaving the Dark Side and becoming an Intel fanboy. Basically I need a motherboard and CPU for around £300, with the intention of gaming/design work.

Aesthetics wise, would be good if it could fit into my black and white colour scheme. And also am building inside a Parvum so needs to be mTAX :)

Thanks!

Where is that?

Looks really familiar, is it far from Weybridge?

Would suggest the G1 sniper matx but that would bring it even more above budget. If you don't use any application that will see advantages with the i7, could go i5 + g1 sniper matx for better sound chip and that sexy green. Seen some beautiful black white and green parvum builds in the project log section.

It's Egham, if you watch Channel 4 news you would have seen a few interviews and an article they did with my street :)

I work in Weybridge!

I love the look of the G1's, would like black and white though, as my new room is going to be strictly black and white (floods were an excuse to redecorate!). So it needs to look sweeet on my desk :)
