hi there, so as the title says, is 1.212v the max safee voltage on a gtx780 for a 24/7 OC? I've just been benching with 1.212v (gives me 1.233Mhz core, 1720mhz mem) and I was wondering if I could use the same settings for long periods of gaming. temps are between mid 60s and low 70s on heaven (i'm on air).
thanks in advance guys and sorry if this has been answered somewhere else.
Jimmy

ok thanks for the quick reply!
I'm still experimenting with my core clock (think i've reached my mem limit) so i'll see how far i can go. i was just wondering if 1.212v could harm my card as i'm just on air.

Nah, you're safe.
If Nvidia thought it wouldn't be safe you wouldn't even be allowed that (what is it, +67mv or +37?)

If you want more voltage to play with head to this thread ;)

I've got the skynet bios at the minute and it's with +62mv. thought i had a crap chip. so glad i flashed the bios! i saw that tool but i'm good with what i've got at the minute (famous last words)

Cannot remember what my 780 did with only 1.21v, dont think it was as high as yours (only slightly lower iirc) though with 1.35v did 1360core :D

Shame my memory really let the card down, 1600/1650 was max  Might have kept it otherwise :p

jesus 1.35! pretty sure my whole rig would just melt (that and my corsair cs650m is not the best psu in the world)
just managed to get 1250 core

yeah 1.212v is safe for 24/7 gaming , There is a hack for some cards to go higher but i've not bothered with it.
Classy's and iirc lightnings have there own tools to go above 1.212 and the cards are built more robust to handle the extra volts

i've just got a zotac 780 amp! and it's a reference pcb so i'm quite happy with what I've got as i don't seem to have reached my limit yet

Reference cards have weak PWM dont go above 1.35 on a reference design to ensure safe operation.

ok thank you. didn't plan on doing it anyways. i'm not really good at overclocking and I've got crap cooling at the minute

looks like i'm close to my limit on air. 1261 core and 1732 mem. gave me a score of 1600 on heaven with my fx8350 at 4.4ghz and my ram at 1400mhz (my cpu oc failed for some reason so had to reset everything).
