Some of the point scoring for defenders is ridiculous
OK folks I have updated the main list of players. You can find it HERE
Shout up if you are not on the list and want to be![]()
This game is using an insane amount of vram...I am using the full 3gb and I don't even max out settings. I don't think the textures are that great for the amount of vram needed.
It's because the game loads ALL textures into memory before the start of the round.
They don't use texture streaming like other games, they wanted the experience to be a smooth as possible.
So no hitching when you spin round fast and the engine has to load a texture into memory because it's all preloaded into GPU memory.
You also don't get that immersion breaking situation where the full res texture hasn't loaded yet so it puts a place holder low res version there, only for the new high res texture to ping in place a few seconds later (I'm looking at you Unreal Engine!).
The game is to capture and hold the points, requiring people to stay and defend, hence the reward for achieving the goals of the game. You also get rewarded for attacking and capturing the points.
However, im my experience, most people seem to treat it as a team deathmatch game with some extra things that other people can do whilst they hunt around for kills!
So is anyone growing bored of this yet?
I'm very tempted, but looking at the game play I can seen me overdosing on it for a couple of weeks then never touching it again.
