Gentlemen,

My sister wants a new phone (currently has a galaxy ace! ) and I've suggested either the Nexus 5 or S4 to her. Which one would be best out of those two?

Both are the same price sim free now (32gb N5 or S4) and as such I don't know which way to send her? I don't think samoled or IPS makes much difference given her screen on the ace appears to be 640x480 or something pretty terrible!

Any pointers which way to go? She says my Note isn't a phone its closer to her tablet so she doesn't want one *that* big!

Thanks

Nexus 5. Unless she needs the extra storage. The S4 has the slightly better camera, too. We could talk about viewing angles and the screen but the N5 won't disappoint, even if the S4 might edge it.

I'd rather have the more futureproof, faster, better looking Nexus 5.

Robbo : Sisters logic with cars should help..... ooooh I like the colour. If I tell her they aren't reliable / expensive to repair

I like the colour ;)

I didn't think the s4 camera was much cop in the dark for the brief period I owned one?

Red or White Nexus 5.

Let be honest she wants a gold iPhone 5s :P.

Personally I would go with the Nexus 5, better internals (for the most part), and it is nicer to hold/use. Samsung software is a bet jam packed and the S4 doesn't handle it great, for example my friends phone app can take seconds to launch at times.

The only acceptable Nexus 5 colour is black, I think the death red is ok, stay away from the white thou at all costs.

I never thought of the Moto G, which I assume is what you're referring to with the £100 comment! Problem is that she likes taking photos and the camera on the Moto G is really rather pants!

I guess Nexus 5 is the safe bet, and 32gb for a bit of breathing room. Shame she didn't decide she wanted to change a couple of weeks ago, 16gb N5 @ £240 was an absolute bargain!

I'm putting my the Nexus 5 16GB on MM soon for price I bought it for (£240) + postage. It's still sealed and unopened in box. My Auntie obviously doesn't appreciate a bargain like I do. Keep an eye out ;)
