Had my tickets booked on the early early bird offer just after this years finished, hotel already booked, weekend pass booked with Mrs and best mate flying in from Norway :D

Not taken with the headliners so far. Have to see what the rest of the acts are like. Saying that while I dislike linkin parks newer stuff, with them doing a hybrid theory set it should be pretty ace.

I'm pretty happy with the announcement so far, first time in years that I'm going to see all 3 headliners and alter bridge are a great live band.

I would love to go again had a great time last year but I know there's no way I'd be able to leave my dog for that length of time. I struggled this year when it was just my cat.

Aerosmith would be excellent though

Disappointed with this years line up. Not a fan of Avenged Sevenfold or Linkin Park and Fallout Boy have no place at Download imo.

We'll have to see what other bands are announced but so far it's not a must go, like last year was.

I have missed the last 2 Download Festivals. I am going to this year though, cannot wait.
For some reason the line up appeals a lot more than Sonisphere.

I agree the lineup as a whole for Download is very very strong, there are individual bands at Sonisphere i'd like to see, hence going to Sonisphere Norway, but as a whole I prefere Download.

It's the atmosphere at Download as well though. Plus I have seen the majority of bands at Sonisphere before!

Status Quo at download?

And behind linkin park and not on the main stage?:mad:

I would LOVE to see Joe Bonamassa though... although I wouldn't have expected it to be his 'scene' all that much...

I feel the exact opposite. The download line up is extremely poor in my opinion (shared with friends I normally go to Download with) and we won't be bothering this year.

Sonisphere is looking much more tempting.

The Sonisphere line up is strong, filled of mainly safe bookings. However, you can't blame them after the past few years of "nonisphere".

I personally prefer the Download line up, simply because there are more bands I haven't seen before (I've seen most of the Sonisphere line up).

For me the main stage lineup for all 3 days have got runs of bands that I want to see, but there are also a load of other bands on the other stages that i'll wander over to see.

Sonisphere has a great lineup on the Apollo stage on the sunday but the other days have too few bands that I'd want to see to justify buying a weekend ticket.

More added including Monster Magnet, Wildhearts and Chevelle.

Against Me!
Monster Magnet
The Wildhearts

Arthemis
Orange Goblin
Lawnmower Deth
