still waiting for BT infinity.. end of March 2014

my date at my parents house kept getting put back and back... so its been sat at March 2014 for around 8 months now last time I got an email off nga inquiries they did say end of feb it would be completed but nothing has been done... now its the end of march in less than 2 weeks and I have seen nothing from BT in the area

Do you think it will be completed by the scheduled date or will it get put back again?

I tried emailing open reach again but the email has been shut for any more enquiries

In the past they have just said multiple engineering problems in the carlisle area why it has been delayed but now nga.enquiries is closed there is no way I can find out what is happening ?

If any dates are put up that say end of either Mar, Jun, Sep, or Dec they are not actually dates for completion..

They are simply place holder dates.. I learned this a few years back.. they always seem to roll them forward once the date has been reached.

Just to add to this also even if your 'exchange' goes live does not mean you will able to get infinity...

once the exchange is done the cab that feeds your street also needs to be upgraded... this can be weeks, months or even longer after the exchange goes live... for example my telephone exchange has been infinity upgraded since 2012 yet I still cant get infinity as my Cabinet has still not been upgraded.

I am in Carlisle and nearly every area now has a cabinet, I have got it at my own house but trying to look why my parents area still has not got it. yeah on the infinity checker it says you should be able to have infinity by end of march 2014 but it has been put back loads of times so god knows what is going on!

As i say the March date is no more than a place holder date... usually this means they have no set in stone planned date as to when its going to go live.
