Titanfall or BF4 premium?

It depends what you're after. Titanfall is a fast paced arcade style FPS but I do wonder about its longevity. BF4 is slower paced but has much more depth to it. I play and enjoy both.

friends and youtube gamers are already saying they are bored of Titanfall. This was everyones concerns to be honest, the game just does not have enough depth to it

Completely agree with this.

I've made my point in the main thread, I'm not sure what it's missing, but there is a lack of depth to the game. It's a shame, as the game is extremely fun, but it doesn't hook you for long enough.

I'm not sure whether the gamemodes could be contributing to this.

If you already have BF4 and are considering the Premium service or Titanfall then I would suggest Titanfall.

But if you are wondering whether to get BF4 (With premium) or Titanfall then I would suggest you buy BF4 vanilla AND Titanfall and forget about premium service for the moment!

Played both, they both are very good in their own way. If I had to choose one it would be bf4 more depth to the game and you would probably get more hours out of it.

Titanfall all day long. It's old school meets new - the worst bits about it are the bits it borrows from Battlefield and CoD. Fortunately there's enough fast paced arcady action to save it from becoming a Benny Hill with guns spamathon like the aforementioned games. Forget levelling, unlocks and the rest - it's about learning to move and aim well. You know, like multiplayer PC fps when they were actually good :)

I find it odd ppl finding no depth in Titanfall yet finding it in games like BF. I guess it comes down to what you want in a shooter. I find no depth in BF at all. It's a who sees who first wins, slow paced fps. The cool part about it is the scale and spectacle of war. It does that well. The actual mechanics and gameplay, however, are so far behind what we had in the 90s and early 2000s it's ridiculous. Titanfall has some of what was great about TFC/RTCW/ET etc, enough to make a nice change, but is still a good deal behind. The PC fps really is a poor shadow of its former self!

Really couldn't agree more, especially with what you're saying about TFC/RTCW & ET, I'd suggest a touch of UT as well. Perfectly sums up the way I feel about Titanfall, it's just fun in a way that battlefield hasn't been since '42. Was playing in a great even match earlier, literally thinking this could't get any better when during a duel I ripped off the other Titan's arm and beat him to death with it!! **** Yeah!!

More than that though Titanfall has reminded how much I love a good FPS. I'm so tired of what CoD and Battlefield have been peddling that I thought I was about done with the genre.
This game is just pure, unadulterated kick arse fun and for me shows how the domination of CoD and BF have held back and stagnated the genre. I really forgot how much fun a good shooter could be.

Considering how crap Second Assault and China Rising is, just get Titanfall.

However, if BF4 plays well for you and that is the style of fps you like then you may as well get premium.

I gave up on BF4 after all the issues etc.
Made a mistake and pre-ordered the premium edition and I still haven't played any of the DLC's.

Titanfall on the other hand is extremely fun so far. You can get it for £28 including the season pass if you buy it from Mexican Origin.
