Well I've pretty much given up on a mazda 6 mps and this has come up locally, literally a few doors down lol

56 plate
Seat Leon Stylance 1.6
5 owners
84k on the clock
timing belt/water pump already done
New abs unit and disc and pads all round.
new clutch
Full service
MOT til Sep Tax til Aug

He's asking 2850

What you guys think?

19 months per owner wouldn't bother me. Nice, special cars change hands pretty frequently, as people with money generally do change often (I used to go through sporty cars at around one a year). Of course, this wouldn't qualify as special or fast for me, but still, 19 months per owner doesn't seem too bad for me. Might make it a little more difficult to sell with 6 previous owners though if there are too many people like OhEsEcks kicking around.

Good it's had a new clutch, but why? 84k is pretty low miles for that.

Timing belt should have been done 3 years ago, unless this is the second belt been done? If it's only been done once, and recently, then it wasn't done when first needed, so I would be all over the service history with a fine tooth comb.

Going from a Mazda 6 MPS to a Leon 1.6? Seems like a HUGE jump from a decent quick, sporty car, to a a-b everyday, slow normal car. Why the big change of heart?

Not so much a change of heart just bored of the utter ballache the MPS has been and thats before I even get one haha. Finally succumbed and decide ok to LOLRoadTax (56 plate+) despite trying my hardest to find a lower road tax one and found one in red local, guy has decided now to keep it :(

Coupla sales got almost there and then fell thru prior to this. Silver ones for sale but tbh they look cack imho, might chance a black one but nowt I fancy remotely near.

It's a big difference the mps > leon just getting sick as **** not having a car, killed me ibiza back in jan.
Add to that the convenience of walking round the corner to pick it up :p

Insurance on the MPS was +120 extra, the Leon is +20 extra, both those include a 17.50 "admin fee" Grr

I'll still be keeping an eye out for the right MPS tho wanted one for a long time

It would make sense to keep looking for the car you want rather than settling for something crap.

Is the colour that important?! :p

Shouldn't the rest of the car matter more, though? A mk2 Leon in the nicest colour in the world is still a below-average car with a ghastly interior.

*knocks on plastic* :p
I didn't it just appeared around the corner and I'm pig sick of not having a car :(
General concensus seems to be.. no lol

Was meant to be nabbing just a cheap run about this morning, was told it was an old shape 06 leon... turned up was a 06 plate ibiza, 145000miles, no MOT, loads of advisories on last MOT and needing 2 new tyres... joy lol

Looked on the mps owners club website? There's usually 3 or 4 cars for sale on there that aren't on autotrader.

I do t understand

From a swift saloon to a ****box of a Leon...surely there is a better alternative even if you don't want to go full fat MPs.

The Leon is disgusting inside

Tried my best with your guys help to convince me against the leon...
Only thing was convenience like lol

Checked the Oil cap, mayo on it and water all over the place

MPS search continues, apologies for the slight brain fart :p

It could just be condensation. The mileage and the number of owners still flags it as having something wrong with it for me though.

*elbows OhEsEcks firmly in the side*

No.. It's knackered.. He needs to continue looking for that MPS he wants...

Aye firmly back on the path :P
To hell with the extra road tax LMAO as long as its a runner I'll be happy :p
Thinkin about it I'd have just regretted buying it every time I sat in it, no loss.
