leds for rear number plate

I've wanted a set of LED number plate bulbs for a while but am yet to find any which aren't too bright and illuminate the whole road like a spaceship.

If you want the best buy the philips leds. They are expensive but will last and look OEM and do not have the blue tinge that 99 percent of the cheap LEDs have. Will post some pics up later of my side lights.

Don't have any pics of mine, and the ones in there are currently dead (need to get the plastic cover replaced before putting new bulbs in otherwise the new ones will die as well). However before they died they looked quite good imo, goes nicely with the LED rear clusters of the E46 and helps to modernize it a bit more. Possibly looks a little bit chav, but not enough to bother me.

I may replace mine today (have the same ones that Howard linked ready to go in) so will post up a pic tonight for you if I do :)
 
Not quite sure how led lights in number plates looks border line chav?

Having a nicer clearer white light shining on the plate surely looks better than a dim orange look.
 
It doesn't look quite as burnt out in the flesh, more of a nice crisp white light.

They do throw quite a lot of light onto the floor behind though, but I kinda like that for some reason.
