MSI Afterburner 3.0.0 Beta 18(2014-01-02)

Oh...and here I was getting my hopes up thinking it is something I missed. I upped the Aux voltage to +100 and it didn't help me to push the memory stable beyond 1400MHz (5600MHz) one bit...

Yeah i still don't really understand it either. :D

I underclock mine to -0.087v at stock. :)

No actually it does not work. It sets +200mv in afterburner, but the second you move the voltage slider it defaults back to 100mv grrr. Anyone got a working solution?

If your not fussed about the new RTSS then just use Beta 16. I used it on that and it allowed me to clock higher.

Edit: so it does work, just dont move the slider?

Yeah ignore me Luke. Your method did work, but had to change the numbers slightly.

I currently use Afterburner to downclock my 285GTX as it's factory overclock has begun to fail and the card crashes when stressed.

Is there anyway to flash the card to a lower clock speed so I don't have to keep using Afterburner to do this?

make a after burner profile and set it to load on startup

Guys anyone getting this on their 290? Sometimes when I launch Afterburner (this version) my computer will lock up and freeze, the sound will go all messed up and the only solution is a re-start. Anyone else getting this? It also seems to be really random, like I only get it 20%-30% of the time, annoying though.

Might be similar to an issue I experienced.

I may be wrong, but it appears that the AMD drivers are overvolting by default in 2D mode to maintain stability.

This only applies if you have the voltage unlocked in AB though...

When I was playing with Afterburner couple days ago, even though I was running stock, in Afterburner for my 2D profile, I hit reset, which dropped the +50Mv added for 2D mode.

I then saved this as profile 1 (my 2D profile). Was then getting black screens galore, crashing, etc.

Though I didn't immediately link it to this as with installing loads of new stuff, and messing with various settings, blah, blah, blah, I actually thought the card was duff.

PS - I hope they release a new AB soon. What the hell is with these time limited beta versions?

Must be a new version due as the current one expires on the 28th.

Unwinder's mentioned in the official forum he can't promise he'll get another beta out before the current one expires. He's pretty geographically close to the Ukraine/Crimea/Russia issues so software development has (understandably) taken a bit of a back seat recently. Annoying as a user, but pretty understandable from a human point of view.

But then none of my calendar stuff works...

I'm a little annoyed by the pop-up every time my machine boots. Is there a way to disable that?
What do we do once it has expired?

Sadly though. Even though there is an option to disable the notification it still pops up as the beta only lasts for one month or so.

Can anyone shed any light on something please?
For some reason I dont know, the fan control is greyed out on my main afterburner panel and when I go into settings its not even there as an oprion. Its usually the second tab along but its not there for me!?
My card is a MSI R9 290x Lightning and im running cat 14.3 beta, most recent afterburner beta and Win 7 pro.

This after a full fresh re-install too...
