Is the desktop PC dead ? according to the Gadget Show in 2014 it is.. I just watched in disbelief as Jason Bradbury a long time self confessed PC gamer, some tart who isn't Suzi Perry and Otis Wotshisname, run down the desktop pc only to show a 1TB flash drive that costs more than my recent PC build, a chrome book and some fairly run of the mill tablets and laptops...
Since i started using a PC back in the days of the BBCMicro,486DX, Sinclair Spectrum and the mighty Commadore 64 the desktop PC has evolved into a powerhouse of performance, functionality and especially for self builders and modders they are a thing of beauty no longer just the beige box sitting under a desk. Its only drawback is Windows, Microsoft seem to cycle out Bad OS, Good OS, Bad OS and so on..
I say long live the desktop and the Gadget Show can go take long walk off a short pier.
