Can you link to what you're talking about? headfi says the e10s have better audio quality and design. User ratings are similar too... Definitely not seeing the e10s getting pood all over.

The JVC FXC51, JVC HAFX1X, The SONY EX41B, Monoprice 8320
All 4 are fun iems. The detail on the FXC51 are astounding for the price but they sound a bit thin and mids a bit recessed. Once eqed however these sound amazing. Treble happy guys would love the sparkle on the high end on these. The bass is very ample on these which is surprising. These sound is more what the community would consider a higher end sound especially eQed, For the price these are worth checking out. These mold to your sound preference with EQ and these are definitely worth a try. Long burn is absolutely required on these. I would do at least 100 hours.
The HAFX1X. Monster Bass, warm full forward sounds on these. Perhaps a bit too much. These are definitely a guilty pleasure Iem. Nothing technical about them they bring a level of Bass that will surprise anyone. These are just a blast to get lost in your bassy tunes with and worthy of the $25 or so Amazon charges for these. The full body warmth and surprising forward mids and highs lend these to a Fun sound signature. The bass is unreal on these., as far as I know I haven't heard a bassier IEM. These also require at least 50 hour burn
Sony EX41B. These are smooth sounding but the mids are recessed. These are the closest to the sound signature of the monoprice..Where the monoprice wins clearly for me is the better mids. The Bass is also very comparable. The Sonys have a a bit more bass but with less mids. The highs are surprisingly full on these after burn in. As most headphones in the XB line they are not known for having defined highs but these are an improvement over their previous EX40B which was stated to have some recessed highs and mids. The mid bass hump on these do bleed into the recessed mids on these. They aren't bad but not great either. For anyone interested in these I would get a monoprice 8320 every time.
The Monoprice 8320.. These sit in the middle of the JVCs. They have good detail and imaging. Fuller sounding than the FXC51 but with less bass of the HAFX1X which is not a bad thing. Actually truth be told I think a majority of bassy Iems will have less bass than the FAX1X. These do sound a bit brighter than the Sonys but the full bass on the 8320 adds a touch of warmness to the mids which I like a lot listening to bassy tunes. Great stereo separation and good balance for a bassy iem. The FXC51 would be on the cold sounding side of the fence in comparison. Bass not as big as the HAFX1X but absolutely not lacking in that department at all. Sub bass extension just as good..The better balanced full mids with good detail of the monoprice has me grabbing them all the time over the others.
