civilisation V game of the year edition

anyone have it? how does it play etc. never played any of the series but quite fancy something i can sit on the sofa with and play and relax rather than sit perched on the edge of my seat pumped to the max.

I'd recommend X-COM Complete over it, same guys and similar gameplay but much better (imo).

Yeah, turn based and tile based strategy. They aren't all that different if you wake a brain cell up to think about it.

There's absolutely no danger of this happening while playing Civ so go for it.

Civ's no good for sofa play really.... Strategy games in general aren't.

If you're just looking for something turn based that you can play from the sofa then X-Com: Enemy Unknown is great.
Played it on the sofa with the big screen and a wireless pad, was perfect for it.

Civ 5 is brilliant to play on a surface pro on the couch with touch controls, it's a time vampire though

I picked up the GOTY edition but not got code thru yet. Typical of my luck hahaahaaaaa. Not too worry coulda been worse been stuck watchin weans play rayman legends most of the day and the minute I get em aff GF wants tae play tomb raider

x-com is nothing like Civ 5 :confused:

The GOTY doesn't have Brave new world I think, you can find that for £5-10.

I got it and Brave New World a month or 2 back for under a tenner. Great game.
