The New EVGA GeForce GTX 780 6GB Step-Up

Double your memory with the EVGA GeForce GTX 780 6GB Graphics Card with the EVGA Step-Up Program! That’s right! EVGA’s GeForce GTX 780 6GB is coming soon. This graphics card will be available for EVGA’s legendary Step-Up program! You can trade up your current EVGA Graphics Card (if purchased within the last 90 days from the day we start the Step-Up) and get a brand New EVGA GeForce GTX 780 6GB graphics card. EVGA Step-Up Terms and Conditions apply (see details here). Make sure you are logged into your EVGA account and sign up below to be notified when the Step-Up starts to secure your place in queue

EVGA Rep also confirmed that there are no GTX 780 (Ti) with original blower type coolers planned. The standard GTX 780 is probably going to cost around $549.99 (roughly $50 more than 3GB models).

EVGA is also planning GTX 780 Ti Kingpin Edition with 6GB memory, but of course it is going to cost a lot.

GeForce GTX 780 with 6GB memory will be available in ‘few weeks’, while GTX 780 Tis are scheduled for May/June.

This is likely to cost close to or the same as a Titan Black, I know which one I would go for if I wanted 4 cards for 4K gaming.

I've tried games at 4K at my friends house who has 3 Titan Blacks and whilst it's a nice picture the difference over 1600P to my eyes is not worth the HUGE outlay.

I maybe wrong but I would thought a PC monitor would be far to small for 4K to really make any difference..

I would have thought you need about a 50" screen to really notice a difference..

Well he's got the Asus PQ321QE, As I said great picture but the amount of money to move from 1600P to 4K isn't worth the massive outlay so I'll stick to 1440/1600 until 1 card can run 4K at decent frames and maxed settings, For example, A bit like how now a 780 Ti can run 1080P with any and all games maxed out and obtain great frames :)

Still happily sitting with 1080p monitors and waiting till 8k comes out :D

Although i sense it wont be till atleast 2016 till we see gpus which can do that res  mainly because nvidia and ati are slowing down gpu performance jumps as much as they can! :(

Sadly your bang on the money, They need to milk their cards as much as possible with constant re-releases i.e this 6GB version and then after that there will be a GTX 790 and then the GTX 790 Ultra with increased memory and after that the GTX 795 Ti Ultra Black Edition which has a few more cores unlocked as well as the increased memory.

And then we start the very oh so tedious cycle all over again with dribs and drabs in the 800 series.

I don't see the point of the KPE card having 6GB in honesty. I can see the 780 being a good choice for it but we already have the Titan/Titan Black with 6GB, so I feel anyone who wanted tons of VRAM would already have given these cards a look.

The KPE is a benchers card and the extra 3GB will slow it down for benching.

Give Kingpin a 6gb card to bench and what does he do

He turns 3gb off to get better performance lol.

Classic EVGA greed going on here, trading off a name with second rate cards.

From a tv point of view you would be correct (although I personally think 55" +, and as Ive already got a good quality 50" set, I wont be going for anything less than 65" because I cant justify the outlay on a 10% screen increase, irrespective of the resolution)

However with a monitor you are sitting a great deal closer so the usual rules dont apply . I havent seen these 32" screens but I can appreciate (from having a 30" Dell) that 4k could work in the same scale of screen.
