Ordered my first ever new car today!

But very excited! I'll be 35 this year, always been into my hot hatches (205 GTi, both 1.6 and 1.9 inc Mi16 conversion, 306 GTi6 etc) then I met Mrs OracIe and we got a house, and decided to get something sensible and reliable..so 5 years ago we bought a 1 year old Toyota Auris 1.4D4D TR.

Don't get me wrong, the Toyota was/is nice and has been absolutely bullet proof but never really set my world on fire, but then it was never designed too so I'll give it a break.

So now we've got 4 dogs (3 GSD's and 1 Springer) they cant all fit in the car, so we wanted something that could take all the dogs but still seat 5 people if needed, more importantly if we take the dogs out and they get dirty, we're not having to clean the interior of the car for 3 weeks after!!

So, after much looking around we bought a pickup truck!!

We've bought a 2014 VW Amarok Highline 180 BiTDI Bluemotion (Bit of a mouthful!!)

With the following options:

19" wheels
Sat Nav
Reverse camera
Power fold mirrors
Maintenance package (Which include tyres)

Just heard today its all gone through ok and I'm awaiting a build slot!

Really chuffed!!! Does anyone else have one?

Does it have a box over the bed? I can't imagine sticking the dogs in the bed in the pouring rain. Unless you plan to stick them in the back seat. In which case, you probably should have bought a V70 or Superb.

That'll be the first Amarok I've ever seen with a box. Any site I've been on all the trades that have the pickups, don't have boxes Otherwise it's a knackered old transit.
