^ Replace the NES with a SNES and put Super Mario World on the screen and that was me! (even had star wars toys!).

Still remember watching my parents set it up while trying to imagine what it'd be like.

Oh, the nostalgia and memories that fly back when I watch this! :D
 
Finally pulled the trigger and pre-ordered Mario Kart 8 from game which comes with the wheel. They confirmed that they will not be taking any money out until at least 1 week before release :D
 
Im really hoping they bring out a Special edition Mariokart Wii U, i think that should boost sales and bring some much needed publicity to the Wii U.

Well I know my missus will enjoy the wheel. So will I, but mainly I will use my pro controller when online at least :)
 
If I had to bet on it, I would predict there being a Mario Kart Wii U bundle on or soon after release, but who knows. If the Wii U does OK this year there's bound to be some new bundles for xmas at least.

I think a Wii U MK8 Bundle with a Pro Controller included in addition to the gamepad would do very well, epecially if they illustrated equal emphasis between the Console, GamePad and Pro Controller on the Box art.

That'd mean Nintendo would have to do some marketing on the wii u, which we all know they don't like doing :p
 
Bought Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. Got a backlog, but couldn't resist when gamecollection put it on their flash deals thing for £25.

I really want a WiiU pro controller as well, but they seem expensive. Everywhere seems to want at least £30 for one :(.

They are excellent, but I've no idea why Nintendo can't sell them for sensible money - they'd shift so many more units. Unfortunately Nintendo doesn't "do" pile em high sell em cheap.

DK is a masterpiece, I'm hooked.

I needed a break from Titanfall and my god, why didn't I pick this up earlier?!

So much fun relaxing in bed trying to collect everything in every level.

Quick question - I havn't checked the manual yet but, is there a way to turn off the screen on the Wii U gamepad (or at least have it not display the game in full)?

Very fun game isn't it? Got this the day it came out along with my PS4 and it's a very enjoyable game.

I was messing around with the Wii U yesterday and managed to turn on and play SM3DW with just the Controller Pro, so it's possible to at least play without the Gamepad on. I know this because the gamepad was completely flat and needed charging.
