How do I get in? Is the only way realistically marrying an American or give the
US government $250,000 and have assets of over $200,000 ?

If you could live in another country where would it be...?

GL getting into the US,

Unless you're a brain surgeon, pop star, someone of a very specific and rare skill - or very rich with business interests, the easiest way is to go on holiday - give $10k to some trailer trash and marry her..

The next best way is to move to canada first, then move to the US from there.

Why would you want to live in a country that so obviously doesn't want you?

I do also love the hypocrisy of a country founded by immigrants that makes it so difficult to be one.

I was in America last year...they love the British...I'm also Irish and have an Irish passport they loved that too....

why not go for 3 months (you can for this long without a visa), travel around and see if you're still so keen on living there :)

i use to want to live in america so bad when i was little, then i grew up and realized it's not so great and has an immense number of problems as a country (i suppose a lot do though)

Is it only Europe that has the most difficulty getting into the US?

Only when I go to NYC a lot of the yellow cabs are driven by indians, I'm guessing that country's other than Europe its a lot easier to work there?

It didn't used to be so bad afaik, it's only in the last decade or so - unemployment has gone very high for them, so they've locked the doors basically.

I plan on going. We have to have the baby here and I want to sort a few things out so might take a year or so to do, but we have plans on going over there. I aim to try and get a visa. See how hard it is but we have time, so that's a bonus.
