GTX 790 still happening?

Will you be snatching 2 of these up for comparison with your 690s? :)

I'm scared to know the price. If it was £800 I might find a way. This will be one of those where only the "Super Rich" can afford GPU's. That's one of the things I hate about being into pc's. Puts me off a little tbh :(

I reckon closer to £999 if they market it as their 'fastest single GPU' and it beats AMD's offering..

I think originally they were saying it would retail for the same as a titan black, so id hope for a launch price of £799 or less.

My personal predictions

£850-£900 launch. Settling to possibly £799 after a month dependant on demand and amds offering. Will be 2x780 cores with 3gb per core. Then autumn time a gtx790 ti will be launched with 2x780ti cores and 6gb per core.

Possibly christmas time Maxwell will launch (maybe on 28nm with all the problems currently reported) with mid range parts being 10% or so faster than 780ti and full fat maxwell cards April time next year.

Don't worry you got a GTX 780 I wouldn't bother and just wait for 20nm :)

I reckon it'll be around £850 for this.

But don't worry, you should just get another 780 like I did and beat the performance of the 790 anyway :D

So what did the card score on 3dmark11 then, we won't tell anyone.:D

No i have got the Titans to do that with.:)

There is a nice little bonus if this card does come with two full fat GK110 chips. Where it only uses a single PCI-E 3.0 slot you can use two of these cards running x16/x16 on the right motherboard. I have found this helpful when going up against 4 x GTX 680s with my GTX 690s on the 3dmark benches.:D

Is the 790 still coming that Titan Z releasing? If the 790 released I think I would buy that card instead of 2. My new build is around the corner and was thinking of going itx? Don't know yet? If the 790 came out that might help in my decision?

Ill be getting one of these if the price is around 900.

It will also depends on how downclocked the GPU's are, if its like the 690 were then that will be good. It will be bad if clocks are downclocked too much like the 590 was.

And lastly memory, no point buying this card with no less than 4GB per gpu or more today.
At 1440p 120hz i need atleast 4GB each.

If all these boxes are ticked ill get one.

If they release the 790 with only 3GB for each GPU it will be a fail and Nvidia wont have learnt anything from the 690.
You can already hit 2.3GB on BF4 maxxed out at 1440p and Modded Skyrim with mods takes up even more memory than BF4 so even 3GB today is not enough in my opinion.

A few sources are still saying the 790 is still on the cards. No reason to suggest it wouldn't be. Will most likely have double precision crippled as per usual. If it has 3gb per core however, that would be disappointing.
