My R32 Skyline GTR and S2000

Dont you dare ever scrap the R32 :( Looks fantastic man (when its up and running anyway!). I for one would love to see a build/repair log.

A HKS triple  that maybe a little excessive for less than 600hp and in traffic it'll make a man of your left leg :D but it's a hell of a good clutch though.

It won't be scrapped... yet :D nah lots of work to do but it'll get there :)

HKS triple is overkill yes but I was fed up of my dodgy twin - broken twice with nothing visibly wrong and then worked again when re-assembled. Shall see if better luck with the HKS although in a terrible start I've lost a flywheel bolt (ironic given i've got one snapped atm) but all will be sorted :)

I'll start taking a few more pics if people are interested as tbh it's quite tame compared to most skyline builds so not really bothered too much before now :)

Hell yeah stick up some pics as you take them!

What make was your previous twin plate? I tried Exedy and OSG in my R34 and couldn't live with the OSG, way too snatchy, you had a micron difference between on and off :D The Exedy was fantastic though and I'd d have another one in a heart beat. The only HKS twin I tried was on a mates 500hp GTST and it was a nightmare for locking up the rears on a downshift unless you rev matched and it was the heaviest pedal feel of the 3 but it lasted 40K miles I believe of "hard driving" until he sold it to someone in Eire and he lost track.

Willdo, Saturday should see massive updates :)

Previous clutch was a SPEC Twin plate from the US, not heard of much here and to be honest i'd not have another, wish I'd just gone OSG in the first place, could've afforded new with how much i've spent on the other two clutches but refused to spend £2k on a car worth 8k tops on an amazing day :)

Will see how it goes though, the SPEC used to lock the rears easily on downshift which was fun coming up to a roundabout on the track at full pelt *cough*

In terms of the S2000, just ticking along, done 20k in a year although insurance renewal is looking like £500 with the k&n or £330 without so as much as I love the vtec noise might be time for the standard airbox again - damn sensible daily cars :(

S2k wise I've got the stock box in the garage with a K&N but just love the noise from the full kit :( Not sure it's £200 worth mind! We shall see :)

Full speed ahead on the R32, other than front driveshafts which i'm struggling with, engine is pretty much ready to come out :)

It's not bayside blue but very close - was originally Calsonic Blue I think but resprayed in 'Nissan Intense Blue' iirc. Do love the grids on it but tempted to get them re-done in a different colour, can't decide if i'm just getting an itch for change though! Done the whole lairy wheel thing though so don't want anything too crazy (for ref this was my old R32; http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho...0258483916966_531916965_7633762_5459369_n.jpg )

Will chuck up a pic or two later of how the bay is looking now :)

Certainly not looking its best right now...

Ah the familiar sight of a Nissan in bits. Keep telling yourself it will be worth it in the end :p

Pretty much :D Most annoying thing is that all of this is due to a snapped flywheel bolt...

But gives me the chance to change the turbo elbows and do some tidying up of the engine bay which is nice :)

Are these still silly expensive to run in stock form?

If you get a reliable one they're not too expensive, unfortunately most parts have a 'GTR-Tax' (How I hate that phrase!) and command unusually high prices. Also the itch to mess about with it is strong :D Mine has been fine other than the constant clutch problems which I wouldn't be having if it ran less power :)

Edit: Wouldn't recommend stretching to one though, definitely need some cash in the pot just incase :)

That's cool, just loving the 'retro' non assuming look of the following (once the wheel were sprayed silver) :D

Wouldn't recommend it @ home :D

Now to see about this darn flywheel bolt! Rude not to upgrade a few bits while it's apart mind :D
