I've finished the first 6 films (excluding the new ones), now which do I watch first out of The series of TNG or Star Trek: Generations?

I would watch TNG personally. Don't be put off by the first season which is really quite terrible (especially the first few episodes) but it quickly picks up as the writers/direction finds its feet. Voyager next, followed by DS9 and then Enterprise.

DS9 before Voyager surely?

Yeah DS9 before Voyager. With DS9 I thought there were too many wimpy episodes early on. Dominion introducing was good for the most.
I thought early Voyager sucked but give it a chance and last 3 series or so are some of the best ever Trek IMHO.

I would go TNG, DS9, Generations or Voyager. Forget Enterprise for me it was too painful.

Personally I didnt like DS9 all too much although the dominion wars towards the end were very good. Enterprise wasn't as bad as people made out although certain characters were absolutely awful. Lieutenant Reed in particular was devoid of any personality, charisma and had absolutely no saving graces. I think they picked him so he could portray the stereotypical stuck-up British naval type but missed the bit where he actually couldn't act if his life depended on it. If you ignore the episodes where he gets a lead it's not too bad and T'pol has nice tatties :)

The link that Petey posted makes good sense. Originally I thought Generations may have been a passing the torch film, but it now seems like its set a few years into TNG, particularly with the way UC ends.

I will watch TNG next.

Have they stopped making anything Trekkie now?

Unless you really want the blurays, you might want to consider grabbing Netflix (one month trial or something) if you don't have it already.

Great stuff. I do have Netflix. Unfortunately, there are only series 2-5 on there, so I'll have to buy 1 first, but it will sure save some cash later.

Thanks for the heads up :)

Personally, starting in on TNG, once past season 5 I'd also start DS9 then go by airdates of the two series. There were a few crossovers and major events. Though with DS9, they had more short story arcs than TNG's 2 parters, so maybe watch a few as lump. Likewise, once TNG-S7 is over and into DS9-S3 then start on Voyager as well. Then all the references make sense.

Luckily someone has already listed a nice viewing order if you fancy getting really immersed in it. God knows I did, loved it all back then. Great stuff.

The HD revamps of TNG were really good. They were showing on Syfy. I re watched the first few series but never finished them.

cut to 3 mins for the money shot.

watch everything in release order as nature intended.
