Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster

Love this game :D
Got 23 of the books so far (not missed any, just got to the calm lands!)

Started monster hunting/getting some much needed stats from the grid before i head off to the mountain, i remember battling Seymour ontop of the mounting before and struggling because my stats were too low :D

Can't speak for ps3 version but the vita version looks like a new game everything is super crisp gorgeous to look at :) being oled and smaller screen helps possibly

Can't agree more, the Vita version looks stunning but I have noticed frame rate dips on a few occasions. The only minor annoyance with the Vita version is the save interface only works with the touchscreen. I managed to squeeze in a few hours tonight and
defeat Yunalesca
I can finally build up my blitzball team !! :p

I'm up to that boss but am having lots of trouble beating it. I just can't do enough damage.
It's strange as nearly everyone is at the end of their respective sphere grid sections

No it doesn't? You can use buttons for the save interface.

Really in 2 minds about getting this.

I hated FFX when it was released on the PS2. It is still to this day my worst FF game memory (just behind FF13...).

BUT...That was off the back of 6-9, all of which I thought were excellent at the time so I'm tempted to go in fresh after all these years, and so many terrible FF games and see if I can enjoy this one the 2nd time around.

Maybe I should put it on my rental list first to see what I think.

I really enjoyed South Park Stick of Truth but it was over in about 6-7 hours or less even after doing 80% of the optional stuff. And the battle system was very basic - so it has put me in the mood for a full on RPG experience!
Maybe FFX HD is jsut that...

Looking forward to grabbing a Vita copy - had hoped I could stroll into my local High Street store at the weekend and pick one up, but they were sold out :(
Being lazy, is there much difference in price between town and t'internet?

I am definitely in the camp of loving FFX - actually my favourite overall, although VII will always hold a special place, and I loved the card battle game in VIII....

The main thing to remember is she doesn't really do a lot of damage, so its normally safer to have one or 2 zombified party members on the last round so the team can never get OHKO'd in her final form(I don't know where you're having difficulty but I assume its her final form).

I mainly had Auron, Wakka and Tidus out as they were my heavy hitters and they had a lot of hp. It might be worth just stacking up the stat increases like cheer in the first round as its relaxed so you can just smash her in the later phases. It might also be worth equipping armor that prevents confusion as she inflicts that in the later rounds. Her most damaging attack on final phase was only doing 700 damage to each character so as long as you stay about 1k hp you should be safe from getting a team wipe. Always make sure one player remains zombified so you can switch them in before she takes her turn, just in case she does mega death. I didn't find it too challenging but it wasn't a quick fight, I think all forms took roughly 20 minutes to defeat.

If that still doesn't work, just save up limit breaks. You should be able to do enough damage to take her final form down from 60,000hp to nothing if you blow everybodys limit break. The Aeon ones can do a ridiculous amount of damage. In theory you could save up Bahamuts gauge, use his limit break then recall him and do the same again by using Yunas limit break

I made sure the Aeons and people had full ODs.
I need to get Tidus's final OD, and then I think I'll be able to beat her.

I wont get to play till Saturday though, I'm going through withdrawal symptoms :(

If you fail the jecht shot on your way to Luca, do you have a chance to get it again? Im considering starting the whole thing again if not :(

Went in to my local Asda hoping a copy would be in there. Not even a slot for it.

I don't want to wait for online delivery
Use prime? If you haven't had prime before or even if you have you should be able to sign up for a free trial, just remember to cancel it straight away. It's a painless process, I did the same thing myself a week ago.

WIll be with me tomorrow.

Yep you can go back on the boat and learn it.
I don't know when though

When you get full access to the airship you will be able to go back without inconveniencing yourself. I doubt that's the first opportunity you will get to go back but the problem is the story never takes you back to places you've already visited so you would have to go out of your way to take the boat trip again.
