Caseking (Overclockers UK) bought by Equistone Partners Europe Limited

I was actually being serious! - I believe I said a similar thing when Caseking took over Overclockers UK.

I have massive faith in the company which is why I put a lot of effort in the company myself which a lot of you probably see already. I know my colleagues that I work with, and they all do a lot of work and take great pride in the company to make it stronger and much better for the company and more importantly, you, the customers, the fans, and the creepy stalkers in GD. :) :p

AMEN to that!

The Overclockers UK online forum is the most popular of its type in the UK, featuring both computer and lifestyle discussion topics.[/i]

...Featuring topics such as 'would you ask out girl in Asda?' and 'Girl turned slightly bunny boiler...'

(I do hope they don't try to mess with the forums.)

Just stop with the "please dont sack me I love you" posts already!! :p:p

But on a serious note, having had help from you myself I appreciate your effort (and that of OCUK in general) :)

I for one welcome our new alien overlords. May the light of the heavens shine upon them eternal.

Equistone Partners Europe Limited was established in 2011 as an independent investment firm following the buyout of Barclays Private Equity (BPE) by its executives. Its current CEO is Britboy who was famously banished from the very forums he now owns and operates.

Maybe the title of thread should be changed? I had no idea who Caseking were until I opened this thread out of boredom, turns out it's quite interesting.

Investment to build and market an OCUK branded Steam Machine?

There won't be any difference. These kinds of investment companies generally leave the senior management of the companies they invest in to it. The only time they'll step in is if profits start to drop or results don't meet forecasts. That would involve a change of management. Would they make decisions relating to the forum? Who knows?

Rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble-rabble

Seriously though. If this means OcUK are better off then yay!

I wonder why Afinum decided to sell up? (If that is what happened, I assume so as there is no mention of them still owning Caseking in that article)
