Looking to change my 123d shortly and had another thread running re 135/335 etc. but mulling options from VAG.

Hopefully test driving a 130i auto at Birds shortly

S3

Both the 130 and R32 feel a bit more special engine wise - one because of the punch it has pretty much anywhere (though the audi is hardly lacking) and the other because of the noise.

S3 has a nicer interior than the bmw (and slightly better than the R32), more space and just feels like a more complete product for me.

I guess the only thing that would make me question buying the Audi would be that to get a good one you're spending (or close to spending) 135i coupe money - where the engine makes it worth it alone for me

I recently got a 130i MSport LE and love it. I got it from Birds as well. I never tried the automatic so I'd be interested to hear how your test drive goes.

I wondered who purchased that one as I enquired and it's showing online still, but sold. I didn't go for it as it was missing some of the options I have on my 123d. They have two 130is in at mo and I'm looking at the higher priced one.

I'm not sure it's the same one. I had a look again recently and they had another on there shortly after I bought mine in January.

What options are you after?
I think the LE has a great spec, only things missing are heated seats, folding mirrors, cruise control, and sunroof. I think it has everything else.

Ah yes I think I recall seeing that one and the 130i with various m sport options. I was originally looking at 135i

All the above except sunroof If I am honest, don't get me wrong my 123d is missing xeons.

You're not wrong re finding a decent S3 vs cost.

The 130i MSport LEs have recently been listed at 12k which is what mine was listed for, 57 plate, 47k miles.

If you're looking to spend as much as the auto is listed for, I think I'd be looking at the 135i.

I didn't try the 135i as I knew I couldn't afford it.

I agree re price. I however know what they paid for the 09 plate, so we'll see.

I nearly picked up a fully loaded 10 plate 335i 58k for £16k AUC

Hence why I'm looking at S3 options. Not sure re practicality of 135i

Personally, the R32.

I don't like the 1 series really, I can't get on with it's proportions.

The S3 is just overpriced for what it is, even compared to the Golf.

I looked at a few mk6 gti's. Lovely all rounder and I could easily have seennmyself owning one -lacking a little something compared to the others though
