Hi,

I have a couple of questions about the SP2500 speaker system if any owners could possibly help with:

1) On the back of the subwoofer, there are RCA phono inputs and also 3.5mm aux in. Can both be used so that there are a total of three inputs (including the one on the control unit)?

2) The mini usb port on the control unit. I understand that this is for firmware releases etc but does it carry power? i.e. can i use it to charge my mp3 player/other usb devices.

Thanks :)

Yep, 3 inputs, you can change to the one you want on the control unit, aux1, aux2, or line in.

Never used mini usb port on unit though so can't comment on that.

Thanks spankingtexan :) I was hoping this would be the case!

If anyone has tested or can test the mini usb port, still would like to know if it carries power.

I tried testing the mini port for you last night but came to a total blank as to how I can, as I have no mini USB to mini USB cable!

Having looked around online though, I would say that it is not.

Thanks PapaLazaru, much appreciated. :) I'm guessing that if it were able to charge stuff, it'd more likely be a standard usb port. Would be handy if it did but not a deal breaker.

I just tried a cable in absolute terrible condition and it didnt carry power. It could just be the cable itself that doesnt work, but I highly doubt the port on the controller would carry power anyway.
Corsair probably would have advertised it being able to double up as a charging port.

arrived today...must say fantastic set of speakers, can be very loud... crisp and clear sound it was worth the wait....

unable to test micro usb for charge as i dont have one.....

but for pure sound im very impressed...for such small satellites.... :D

Condolences badbiddy. I wouldnt be able to live without mine.
If mine died. id probably just pick up another pair. Love them so much.

TwsT,

I missed buying this in last week's 'This week only' for £155.

Any chance you could do a today only? :D

Thanks :)

Mine just died too. One month out of warranty. Great speakers but I think I am going to go with a different make this time as it looms like corsair are not going to help.
