Any Three customers got their 4G yet?

Good 4G connection in London (Victoria/Westminster), good in Wimbledon, good in Sutton. Speed is variable though, always 20-25 down but between 3 and 18 up, big range.

Compared to giffgaff 3G in the same areas, those results are in a different universe.

Just ordered a SIM a few hours ago which should be here Tuesday next week. Got the AYCE plan for £13 a month which I cannot complain at. The guy I spoke to (their online chat thing seems pretty good) said I should be good for 4G at home but where I work may be a bit sketchy so we shall see. My area is pretty much all covered by HSDPA anyways which I can live with.

I've never had any issues with signal indoors with Three. In fact I'm currently at my step-dad's house which is an 1800's house with very thick walls in a remote village, yet on Three I have the best signal out of everyone, O2 and Voda are GPRS at best in a few locations in the house. Three I get a solid H/H+ all the way :)

Interesting.

In my experience, even in the middle of Winchester, Three sucks indoors.

I seem to get 4G signal in more and more places week by week

Now getting 4g at Waterloo for first time (that I'd noticed anyway)

Is the ping good and speeds fast for you at Waterloo? I'm thinking about leaving orange for three.

The orange speeds are awful but I assume a switch to an ee 4g plan would solve a lot of that. Three have great packages but their customer service was awful and my friends on three now are not particularly enamoured with the service.

I go through waterloo daily and my commute is on sw trains. Where orange speeds are patchy

Three customer service is actually not too bad. Lost my phone a couple of weeks ago and rang them to block the sin, through to someone i could understand in minutes and went into the store to get a new sim. Number ported over in about 5 mins

Customer service used to be terrible but I think they realised this needed to change

Indoor speeds are decent. no 4g yet.

I get that on H+ where I live

I get 22-24Mbps on 3G near where I live :D

Must say that while I'm looking forward to getting decent LTE in my area, I don't really feel a need for it with Three's current performance.

Thought I'd post this somewhere...was I the only one who was lead (by information spread from crappy tech site articles) to believe that the SIM-only One Plan would be subject to the 2GB tethering limit? Can't believe that I only just found out today that the SIM only plan is still unlimited for tethering - I was actually looking for deals elsewhere!

Also worth mentioning, for SIM-only plans 0800 numbers aren't free (to be honest the unlimited tethering is more appealing).

the other day in northampton i was getting 0.2Mbps, slowest i seen on H+
and yes the server was the closest, i tried two

Lamboman I believe the change in contract terms is only for those contracts purchased with a phone and not sim only.

Yep, I know, as I said the surprising part was that I only realised today :D The One Plan it is for me then. Hopefully they won't be doing any crazy deals (eg. £15 One Plan again) that I could miss out on...very unlikely of course but you can be unlucky more than once...

Just realised the other day that I'm paying for 0800's, I've got the £15 a month sim only, 2000mins, 5000mins 3to3, 5000 texts, tethering and unlimited data. they now want £20pm and i think your capped. kinda sucks for new customers. I'm staying where I am on this plan!:D

I think  that the One Plan is unchanged 'sim only'. You still get unlimited tethering and you still pay for 0800 numbers. It's £20 or £23 with a months contract.

I was going to get one of the cheaper sim only plans that I thought when they announced their new prices/plans, include 2gb of tethering as I only occasionally do that. It seems all sim only plans are unchanged. I could be wrong
