Hi there

Check this bad boy out and again OcUK is launch partner as we are the most focused 4k store in the UK, as always leading. :)

Stock is expected in June!

Great offer but what sort of viewpanel it has?

Glass (like iMac), semi-gloss (Asus) or matt?

I did hear a bit about this model earlier but didn't have any idea what it would look like. Nice to see they're using the same sort of housing as the q2770Pqu. As you say not as stylish as the Samsung offering but that's a good solid stand with excellent adjustability. Awesome price there too!

So not like their IPS monitors? I have the AOC 23" IPS and it's light matte is perfect. It's certainly not even remotely semi-glossy.

It is even lighter than the 23" AH-IPS panels (AOC i2369Vm etc.) but not enough to really cause any issues. It's will be very similar to what you see on the 27" WQHD AH-IPS and PLS panels (AOC's q2770Pqu for example) and that is not something most users have an issue with. The glare handling characteristics are still excellent - it's nothing like a glossy screen in that respect.

Hmm, I don't know what that might look like. I've never seen a monitor with a lighter coating than my i2369FH, and it's already pretty darn light.

Since you call it semi glossy, does it look more glossy than matte? I have a Large window directly next to my desk and if it's too glossy I'll just suffer from glare, eye strain and headaches again like with other monitors.

Is it similar to the Asus 27" PLS display?

As I said it is very similar to the 27" WQHD PLS panels, which includes the ASUS 27" PLS model. :) If your side window doesn't cause issues on your current monitor (which could appear as an obvious dulling of the image and scattered light) then it is unlikely to be a problem for you with this one.

That sounds much better! Phew. I'll certainly have to pick one up now. I couldn't stand glossy displays in my current setup, so if it's like those I'll be delighted.

Any idea if it has picture by picture support like the samsung?

Thanks for replying - its definitely a strong contendor for my next monitor purchase, PBP capabilities would swing it for me.
