Hi,

I have a quick question. I currently have a multicar policy with Admiral however due to circumstances need to get rid of one car. I currently pay monthly for the policy.

Now, can I just ring up and cancel 1 car? And just pay a admin fee? Or do I have to pay the whole premium off.

If I did have to pay the whole premium, could I ring them to pay for the policy to run the whole 12 months then ring back in a few days cancel the policy on both cars and get a refund?

I know ringing them is best, but thought I would ask here first.

Thank you.

I changed cars midway through a previous policy with Admiral and was hit for admin fees when Admiral refused to match the top quote (or even the top 5 of rivals). A stern complaint email got me the Admin Fees back.

Paying monthly was different to mine, as I paid in a lump sum, but in theory, you're already paying a hefty load of interest, so they may not ask for admins fees; or if they do, it'll be incorporated in the monthly fee. This means it will decrease, but not by the full amount.

Thanks for that.

Rang them now, they removed one car, monthly payments have dropped by 2/3rd and I did have to pay a £25 admin fee but it is incorporated into the monthly cost. Not bad I don't think.

Nice amount - on my lump sum paid policy my admin fees were £60. As I thought then, your monthly APR might account for that, or it could just be that you are further through the policy than I was (just 1 month in).
