I want to live in America

Have you ever been to Atlanta? I'm there next month for two weeks with work, not sure what it's like really.

(am aware the chap is suspended, hopefully he'll see this when he's back ;) )

I am not sure I am allowed into the USA to be frank.

It does seem pointless saying 'the US', though. How different is that to saying 'in Europe'? It'd be better to say x, y and z state, 'cause it's not as though all of them are need super sweet outdoors stuff with loads of variety of scenery.

Well yes I guess. The OP just seems to want to live anywhere there rather than several of us discussing why living there would be nicer for the outdoors point of view. Getting in to the country would be the hard bit anyway, once there you couof probably move anywhere. That's definitely the case with Canada (if you aren't tied to a specific company with a temp visa), even if sponsored by a provincial government.

Seriously?

I'd prefer to live somewhere like Australia, Sweden or Finland.

Or Italy, Spain, France and Czech Republic.

USA isn't all what it seems.

It's actually very backwards and everyone who lives there is ignorant, arrogant and stupid.

People in USA believe that smoking weed and drinking massive amounts of alcohol is essentially good for you.

You sound like someone who has never been.

We're all living in america.

Wunderbar

How is it stupid? Please tell me.

I don't believe it is anything of a good place to live.

USA is also the most in debt country in the ENTIRE world. It has the most poverty; no proper health care system.

The opinion of the USA as a whole based on your limited and biased personal experience is irrelevant. You cannot group up entire countries into limited statements.

USA has minor drinking culture, less than most European countries, far less than the UK. In the USA you have to drive around, here in England you can close your eyes walk 100 yards and you are inside a pub.

Government debt is irrelevant.

Pay less tax and sort medical yourself, whats wrong with that.

Before you go read this.

http://www.patriotsurvivalplan.com/video.php?t=2.0 -It's a bit long winded but the bit about being born on same day as Jesus was eye opening.-- I have to say I think same thing will happen here in not to distant future.

Mate there has just added another 1k rounds to his stash for the AR15.

Dave

ps I would also like to live in US but don't think I will make it.

Why do people take nutjobs like this seriously?

Advance apologies for a) thread resurrection, and b) OT post.

Is there a thread on OcUK for ex-pats living in the U.S., and/or American OcUK members? Search has not been kind to me :(

Thanks,

Su

Believe me and when I say it - I mean it!

I have part of my family living there and they want to move back to Europe, altough they don't have a good financial state in order of coming back here.

LOL!

How do I get in?

Hack a US government department and get caught. (Just don't pull a Gary McKinnon. Stay honest and you'll be on US soil in no time).

If you could live in another country where would it be...?

Switzerland or somewhere in Scandinavia. UK if I had plenty of cash. Perhaps Canada at a pinch.

You couldn't pay me enough to live in the US.

platinum87, I think you've been at the fish fingers again. Go to bed and sleep it off mate, you'll feel better in the morning.
