I currently due a upgrade and have a iphone 4. I am wanting a different phone and i would like your help.

I am looking at the Nokia 1020, Has any1 had any experiance/problems with this phone. I am also looking at sony phones and undecided on the new HTC modle.

Any help would be great thanks :p

Go into a shop and try each one. They are three very different phones. The 1020 runs WP8 and the other 2 are Android. Even the UI between the Sony and HTC is quite different. Bear in mind that with the WP8 you will get less app support than with Android, although it is getting better every day.

Despite upgrading to a HTC One M8 (Yet to be delivered) from an iPhone 4...I'm convinced Windows Phone 8/8.1 is the way forward. It's quick, simple and really scales well even with the lowest powered phones (IE the Lumia 520 is easily the best sub £70 phone out there).

I'm betting on Windows Phone coming to HTC in the near future and the app support really taking off this year.

But to answer your question, I think it really depends on which OS you prefer and what you really want from your device. IE you want great quality photos or you use specific services - do they have an app for that on Windows Phone?

As Sanchez says, go have a play with some in store.

Yeh i will be taking the time when im off to go and have a look. I have been told not to go for the nokia's because people have had problems with them. For me the nokia stand out more but i am thinking it would be between the 1020 or the 1520.

I woulnd't look at the 1020, outside of the awesome camera it is pretty old tech and things are moving forward with Windows Phone. If you do want one I would either look at the 1520 which is awesome but very large, or wait for the refresh of the 920 which is due at build I believe.

For Android you have the Galaxy S5 which is a bit meh this year, they don't seem to take the time or care into the build of the device. But the specs are pretty good and the camera is looking very promising. You have the HTC M8, beautiful phone with amazing fit and finish, reviews are looking good but the camera is arguable meh at best, rest of the device is really good. And the Z2 looks good, has a lot of features, not too sure about the camera just yet.

You also have the Nexus 5, as a solid cheaper options, specs are all pretty high end, camera isn't the best but it is good enough.

I would stay away from any lumia if you going into a 2yr contract you will kick yourself in 9-12months

HTC M8,Sony Z2,Note 3,s5 are all decent phones you cant go wrong with them
