To max 4K you need more than two cards.
I would love a pair of Titans and a 4K monitor....
You mean another two to go with the ones you already have.
There should be some real bargains on secondhand Titans and once you have used 3 way SLI you won't want to go back.

It isn't about maxing, its about compramise. Would you prefer to run a 4k screen not maxed with a pair of cards or drop the res?
Its 'your' ideal setup with a duel card config. Not everyone can or wishes to run quad SLI.
You don't buy a 4K monitor and then compromise, you may as well buy a 30" monitor and not compromise.
