EVGA GTX 780 Ti SC - 6GB?

I'm looking at getting the above GFX for my corsair 250D build - however I've heard the rumors that EVGA are on the cusp of releasing a 6GB variant.

Does anyone know how soon this is likely to be?

Hi guys

It is correct we expect the GTX780 6GB to arrive first.

Still no confirmed shipping schedule for this. I expect to know more once month end is concluded. I haven't heard anything to change the ETA to mid/late April arrival in the UK.

The GTX780Ti 6GB is again further down the line so I would expect a May/June time.

As soon as I get some more confirmation I will post on the forum.

1x AOC 29" monitor running at 2560 x 1080.
1x DELL 19" monitor running at 1280x1024.

Why do you need 6gb with those resolutions?

I didn't say I needed 6GB, however if I was going to spend £500~600 on a new GFX and one week from now they release an identical card with double the VRAM for almost identical price, then I would have felt a bit gutted.

Besides, any card I buy now can be used in the future if I do a PC refresh.

If you're being pedantic, you don't really need 6gb at that res correct. It's more of a dead weight unless you're above 1600p up.
