Stuck Pixel on brand new Monitor?

Purchased a Benq XL2411Z from Overclockers about 2 weeks ago, and today I noticed what seems to be a stuck pixel.

It's just a solid red coloured pixel that shows up on any kind of dark or coloured background.

Tried a few of the common methods to fix it that I found with a quick search but no luck.

Any advice on what to do now?

It's fairly close to the centre of the screen and really obvious and annoying :/

Not sure what Benq' warranty on that is, I know the DGM I have can have 5 stuck pixels before being "Defective". Might want to contact the customer support and just see what they say, but I think you will be stuck with it.

Contacted OC Support and they've replied saying that 1 stuck pixel does not count as a fault in their eyes, so they won't replace it because of that.

But on the support page it says that you can return an unwanted product within 14 days of the delivery date (which mine is within) so can I not return it under that?

You can return it under DSR (Assuming of course it's literally 14 days)
Faulty pixels are a tolerance level based RMA, it's a "flaw" with the technology from what I understand.

Seems like I can send it back under the 14 day unwanted returns thing, so will be doing that I think.

Just to check, seeing as I have to send back all the cables, I don't have the little plastic bags that they came in. That won't be a problem will it? Should I just put them in some sort of plastic bags that I've got in the house?

I would accept 0 dead pixels, worth losing postage to DSA it.

It's one of the reasons I paid extra for a pixel check on my last monitor. Saves a lot of hassle.
Will never, EVER, buy another monitor without one, or a suitable guarantee.

Was that from OC ? Sounds like a damn fine idea. I'd pay extra for a dead pixel check.

I asked long ago and the reply was "what do we do with monitors that fail and have dead pixels"

I replied "the same as above store hinted above at that rhymes with Span so with them." which TBH I do not know but would guess sold as not tested or b grade.
