Gumtree ad - Is it a scam?

Gumtree is only meant for face-to-face transactions. 9/10 offering below it's value and asking for bank transfer/paypal is generally a scam. More so if bank transfer as there is no way you'll get the money back.
 
Way too low.

Avoid it like a virus.

Also I wouldn't buy an item that was at £1 from there, full of scammers and usually the items are not what they say they are.

I tried buying a KIA people carrier, he had it at the price of £1200, when I got the guys place. I wanted to see it running he was avoiding in doing just that, when he did agree it never started. I spent £20 on taxies getting to him and back home but was glad it was just a £20 rather than £1200.

Point is if it sounds too good to be true it usually is and just avoid it, plus I have learnt that an item such as an Iphone 5s you may be able to find maybe up to £30 cheaper than regular going price but not too much.
 
It always amazes me when people come across 'deals' like this and still actually have to ask the question of whether its a scam or not. like what the actual ****.
 
I'll sell you mine for 150 = 75 by bank transfer and 75 [when][if] you get the phone.

Unbelievable to think even his girlfriend is in on this scam! what complete scum there is in this world.
