Nexus
Camera isn't too bad at all. Does seem to struggle in low light situations and does struggle to focus when the light is low. HTC One was better in that respect. Most conditions photos are fine. I'm not right bothered as prefer to use a camera to take 'masterpieces' but it is there and always with you, unlike a dslr.
As to updates then time will tell. Keep getting little updates via play store for Motorola apps. Latest was the boot animation (for when phone is booting up). Bigger updates I dunno as time will tell. It is on the latest Android version and I always seem to think that the jump between Android versions does not make a huge difference to day to day phone experience? My opinion only
Motorola weren't that good at doling out updates anyway?
Loving the battery life on this.....
I'm with you on that. I do find very occasionally the battery can take a faster drop than usual. I *think* it's down to signal? Signal strength is variable where I live and work and think when it's really very low that battery consumption increases. Still not an issue with plenty left by end of the day.
It's a damned fine phone. Size is bang on with 4.7" screen. Lower res is a none issue really as the screen is very nice with colours that 'pop'! Really don't want a phablet as a work a day phone. Even the new HTC One is a bit big really (IMO). I'm sure it could have been more compact even with 5" screen. Why move the buttons off the black bar onto the screen then keep the huge waste of space with nothing but a HTC logo on? Anyway, I digress. Moto X is bang on size wise for my use.
I'm always impressed with call quality. I use my phone as a - phone

Subject to both parties having a decent connection and/or half decent phone, call quality is very clear with plenty of volume. My hearing is damaged and the reason I bought a HTC One. I find the Moto X better from this point of view and miles better than the Razr i.
I went for a black Moto X. First one I got was from Amazon but had to be returned as faulty. By this time I'd chopped my sim down to nano size and without finding a converter back to mini sim, it would be a no go for spare Razr i. I slipped down to phones4u and bought a replacement. Amazon kindly refunded me for the faulty Moto X once they got it back. They had the exclusive white model and had to go to 2 stores to find a black one. Didn't fancy the white one as worried it could look grubby very quickly. I do have a gel skin on it for work.
All in all, I'm happy with the X. Wouldn't mind Sky Go for it but guess I'll have to wait and see if Sky do anything about that. Speaker is good for use with catchup tv and Youtube. It'll be interesting to see what "Monovo"

come up with later this year. If they must go bigger then a 5" screen would be acceptable so long as they keep the edge to edge build of the current Moto X. That said it'd have to be a good upgrade to tempt me.
Ordered me a Diztronic Case and also some Media Devil screen protectors
Must admit i will miss the wireless charging capability of the Nexus 5 but its no biggy
I got one of those glass screen protectors from rain forest site. The i-Blason one. Fits well and doesn't interfere with phone. Thinking is if it gets badly scratched I can take it off and replace. Cost £12-99.
As for wireless charging then suppose it's handy though at least with a usb cable you can still use the phone? Mine I use as an alarm clock and pop it on a cradle to charge over night. It plugs into a Motorola mains charger and does seem to take some time to reach full charge - not that it matters. Plug it into an Asus mains charger for Nexus 7 and charges in half the time. Both register as AC charging on the phone?
thanks, been in contact with seller, they apologised and are offering a full refund but no partial
dilemma now, keep or send back! i probably wont get another one this cheap again, ebay 10% voucher also ran out on 31st March :/
The issues aren't major. You are missing nothing with the booklets and can be found online anyway. The sim ejector is handy but a paper clip does the job equally well. I'd say you got it at a good price. If you can get a bit back then well and good. £210 is still good. My black one does not have the chrome bezel.
Leaning towards the moto X now
I don't think you'll be disappointed
