Low clearance and angled driveways

He still has an account here yeah, although his situation was different to yours (can see photos now I'm not at work)

Hmmm, I'd look into something shaped like an upside-down V to be honest, made out of stainless steel so it doesn't rust, low to the ground and on the downward slope.

So as your car goes over it the front is raised slightly as the middle of the car pivots over giving you extra clearance.

Yeah, something like this would probably do the trick:

...although pricey. I think I will try the rubber stable matting idea first, my girlfriend has some left over from when she kitted out her horse's stable.

Ah that stuff, I know it well, my sister had it for her horses. Pain in the neck to move around. Would look fugly on the driveway mind.

EDIT: Didn't realise you're from Kent. Will have to meet up at some point for a drive (and to perv over the GT86) I'm moving to Herne Bay soon so won't be far away :)

Yeah, could do, I haven't had time to get out and drive much lately.

As for looks - yeah I guess. But then, nothing is going to look particularly great, and I can live with a couple of squares of black matting on the drive if it makes using it easier. It would also make it easier to use something like a baton of wood to form a ramp, as rather than cutting and chamfering it to allow the wheel to roll over, the rubber would do that for me and hide the wood underneath. Ill have to experiment a bit.

Could paint it to match colour of drive?
