Anyone know what the story is with these, OCUK have had them on pre-order since early Jan, i've heard similar from other suppliers. No stock anywhere

I believe the rain forest place has them from time to time, it may be that Saitek are scaling back production due to the Rhino X55 being released

We are expecting them to be here anytime this week. Just waiting for stock to land in the channel.

Same here, I was just thinking maybe I should just get the x52 normal for now then sell it when the pro version arrives, at least I could play the games in that case,
if they are expected soon I can wait though.

I think what it might be is a game called Star Citizen was released which requires these sorts of controllers, and there isn't really many good options
so I figure a lot of people probably chose to get this one.

^ This.
Also, I hear tell that Saitek are owned by MadKatz and since then the latter have had products made more cheaply, resulting in less sales, so less places stocking them... or something along those lines.

Madcatz bought saitek in 2007, 2014 is a bit of a delayed reaction to suddenly have all the big etailers run out of stock if it was a technical issue, the x55 being imminent seems more plausible

But a drop in quality, followed by a lack of purchases resulting in production tailing off and overall stock falling is a reasonable time frame, I think.
I did suggest it was only a contributory factor, though. I know when I went looking not so long ago, the only reports about quality were forum posts a couple of years old and nothing more recent.
