Hi All,

My wife & I became parents on 2nd March (yey!) and we are looking at holidays for around September time.

Little baby Eleanor will be 6 months old, just looking for some suggestions on places we can go...possibly some people have experienced places that are perfect?

I appreciate she won't be doing a great deal, however any experiences of places with a great pool for little ones would be great :)

Thanks

What about the Isle of Wight?

They have some amazing static caravans, hotels and B&Bs to stay in. There are plenty of options for just chilling out & relaxing, the Botanical Gardens springs to mind. I'd recommend Appledurcombe, the park is well kept and in a quiet location.

Centre parcs would be OK for a 6 month old, but you'd only be able to go in the pool during the first hour when they have their tiny toddlers sessions as it's just too rough at other times. If you have parents you can drag along to baby sit I'd recommend a spa day with the wife, I thought I'd hate it but actually enjoyed it more than her..

When our daughter was very young we rented cottages up north in Scotland and did some sight seeing with her in the pram, must admit those holidays were fantastic and we're planning to do it again now she's nearly 4 and will be able to walk around with us.

Lakes is a good one, there are some nice sites with ststics/lodges on. I went to the lakes with my son when he was 3months over Easter and it was no hassle. I took the pushchair for town/pavement use and then a front carrier for when we were off walking.
