8Pack and MSI Lightning R290X first to 98K in Vantage.

They actually learned from the Pack!!! We had a couple of early ES and made some recommendations. One major one being Samsung RAM and nothing else.

In the next line of lightnings even more stuff we asked for will be implemented.

when do you think batch #2 will be out then?

When you say next line, do you mean the next batch of 290X Lightnings to roll off the factory floor or the next model GPU AMD will release after the 290X?

I did a review about it 1200/1700 on Normal AB limits and Air.

The memory on my cards varried a touch. I have five cards inc Gibbos. 4 Did 1700, 1 did 1625. All did 1175-1215 on Air easy.

I'm seeing similar speeds on mine, I've run a few benches at 1195/1600. I don't want to push it any more as its fast enough for me even at stock clocks. Really happy with the noise and temps that I'm getting.

Thanks for the original review 8Pack, definitely helped sway me as I was looking for a 290X since I sold my Titan

You can push it, the cooler is awesome on these cards.
Mine needs +80 to 1150 (around 1,2V load), +150 to 1200 (1,26V load), +230 to 1250 (1,32V load). Tops out at 1280.
I have a low base voltage tho.

The 1200/1650 setting is usable for gaming without worry. After half an hour ENB modded skyrim play temp was 71C

Thanks for the info, this is great to be able to compare. I wasn't sure how much to push the volts but will have a play tonight. :)

Im gonna take mine higher as I think there's more there yet, ill look into it thoug first, see what maximums other people had. Thats why im looking for 8Pacs original thread.

What driver version is everyone using? Im on cat 13. I did try 14.3 on my other card which was faulty and it stopped the fans from working, so im a bit dubious about trying 14 on my replacement card.

I'm using 13.12 as I heard the 14 series drivers have issues with throttling etc when upping the voltage.
