Case Cooling/Fan Set up advice

I will building my new setup tomorrow night, and would like advice on the fan/cooling set up im proposing.

BitFenix Outlaw Case
FX8350, GTX670, Sabertooth etc etc

Blue is intake, red exhaust.

I would like the top intakes kept as they are to cool the GPU, which is a single fan and seems to get hot quickly.

H75 Water Cooler, could be changed?
PSU can be inverted, but I was going to use as an exhaust also?
The case also has space for 2 fans in the side panel, but I think it may be too tight with the H75 in place.

Thanks.

Only problem is cpu cooler pulling warm air from back of the case back inside, but Im sure u can flip it to check temp on both setup

Or switch it with bottom fan

Hot air rises but that setup is trying to push hot air down the way.

I have same setup regarding cpu getting cool air from rear and doesn't cause a problem even with gpus below the cpu intake.

Not familiar with that type of case with upside down motherboard.

Best thing to do is try it out and test temps then change the fans around at top and bottom plus psu and see if it makes any difference.

Also during tests pop side off quickly and check for any hot pockets of air with hand :)

I would agree hot air does rise, but in the case of forced air a fan would easily be able to overcome the affect of heat rising. The upside down motherboard was the reason I selected the case, being able to have fans blowing directly onto the GPU.

Dust is my worry with swapping the water cooler with the bottom fan, I know I can get filters but that's even more resistance, especially if it starts to block with dust often.

Yes can see the advantage of that for sure :)

Could try having the rear one at top as exhaust perhaps?

A good psu will move very little air even under load...mine intakes from bottom and no dust on filter but the 140mm at bottom that intakes needs cleaned regularly

Trial and error :)

Have fun :)

That's possibly the strangest design for a cooling setup i've ever seen. Nvidia have decent coolers so your main focus should be the cpu...where you have a toasty cpu blowing its air into the bulk of the case, against the incoming cool air from the front.

Personally I would turn the H75 around and have everything on the rear of the case as exhausts to create a smoother flow of air through the case. I would also turn the bottom fan around and use it as an intake. You should then have plenty of cool air inside the case to go out through the H75 rad and altogether it should result in a smoother flow of air through the case. Make sure you have filters on all the intakes though or it will act like a Hoover.

Top, front and bottom in.
Everything on back out.
With filters that should be good.

And remove unused PCI slot covers too. The intake fans will push air out of them.. warm air. ;)

I ended up with this...

Not going to win any awards for neat cabling, but seems to work well!

Only thing I am questioning is the heat transfer paste/material the H75 cooler comes with. Worth getting something better?
