My parents have a 2013 Nissan Micra it has lots of the mod cons such as sat nav, cruise control air con, Bluetooth etc. so I was a little surprised when I got a lift today that my dad couldnt tell me the outside temperature when I asked. He said it doesn't show this anywhere but his 2008 micra did. Surely they would not remove such a handy and unobtrusive feature???? Is it hidden or have they really removed it?

Then it should be displayed in the circular display under the sat nav as seen on that image above, the same way it was on the 2008 K12. Cheaper models on both the K12 and K13 replace the touch buttons and LCD with traditional twisty controls for fan speed, temp and control, so the LCD display is removed.

Having never been in a K13, is that figure not the climate control desired temperature?

You're right. If you look closely at the display in the centre of the speedo on the picture I originally posted, you can just see the centigrade/celsius symbol and what looks like a five or six (I missed it before). Owners manual confirms temp read out is on the display behind the steering wheel, it's just hidden in a menu somewhere.

Excellent thank you. I have just had a read through the handbook you linked to. Looks like their should be an information button on the steering wheel that toggles through settings. I will let them know next time I see them.

I was surprised on our 62 plate Nissan NV200 van that there is no external temp display :( I ended up having to buy a fishtank temp gauge and stick it on the dash!
