Tesco CC anti-fraud working well

I just took a call from Tesco Credit Card's anti-fraud team. I've had one in the past triggered by a flurry of payments to Amazon so expected no real surprises. Indeed, most of the charges were valid until the last one. £850 to 21.co.uk (an online casino)! This was news to me but Tesco had declined the payment and when I said I didn't know anything about it they immediately cancelled the card. That's a pain for me as I pay for everything on CC and then pay it off in full (to get Clubcard points) but better than being fleeced. Back to the debit card for a couple of weeks then.

Just thought I'd share a good experience with a CC company. :)

Wish Barclays were like that, I've had anti-fraud kick in maybe 7-8 times in the past 12 months and they weren't out of the ordinary charges, the same charges at the same places each and every month.

To make it worse they don't ring to tell me, I go to a shop and try to use the card and it gets declined, then I have to ring up an indian call center to speak to someone with a thick accent trying to pronounce english names for shops and read off 10-15 charges and I have to say yes or no to each and every one of them.

This is why I like Natwest's automated fraud line they call me I listen to a computer list my recent transactions and press yes or no nice and simple.
 
Glad it worked for you. Can't say the same myself though.

Had legitimate items blocked by the Tesco Fraud team three times in two months all for normal puchases such as a 69p App Store item, a monthly travelcard from TFL and an online purchase from a well known company.

Ended up cancelling and getting a Rainforest Card instead. Contactless, higher limit and not one fraud problem. Plus the fixed 1% cashback is better than the clubcard vouchers I got.
