I just took a call from Tesco Credit Card's anti-fraud team. I've had one in the past triggered by a flurry of payments to Amazon so expected no real surprises. Indeed, most of the charges were valid until the last one. £850 to 21.co.uk (an online casino)! This was news to me but Tesco had declined the payment and when I said I didn't know anything about it they immediately cancelled the card. That's a pain for me as I pay for everything on CC and then pay it off in full (to get Clubcard points) but better than being fleeced. Back to the debit card for a couple of weeks then.
